Privacy Policy

Value

Version 1.0 · Effective from 2026-08-17

This policy explains what information AutoLife AI processes, why we process it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We collect only what a feature you use reasonably needs.

Information we process

  • Name, where you provide it
  • Email address
  • Phone number, where you provide it in an enquiry
  • Account and login information
  • Vehicle make, model, variant, registration year and other vehicle details
  • Mileage and vehicle condition information
  • Service and maintenance information you enter
  • Vehicle documents, images or quotations you upload
  • Valuation and report information
  • Payment and transaction information necessary to process purchases
  • Customer support and enquiry communications
  • Technical/device information necessary for security and operation
  • Usage information necessary for analytics, security and product improvement

We do not request or process your location, contacts, microphone or camera streams, and we do not collect bank account or card numbers ourselves — card and UPI details are handled by the payment processor.

How we use your information

  • Create and maintain your account
  • Create vehicle profiles
  • Generate vehicle valuations and reports
  • Provide vehicle lifecycle intelligence
  • Provide maintenance and repair recommendations
  • Process Premium Report purchases
  • Generate and deliver PDF reports
  • Provide customer support
  • Maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Improve product functionality and reliability
  • Perform analytics and product improvement where legally permitted
  • Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations

Legal bases and consent

We process most information because it is necessary to provide the service you ask for and to meet our legal obligations. Optional marketing communications and partner sharing are based on your separate consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Profile → Privacy & consent. We record each consent with the policy name, version and timestamp, and we never overwrite an earlier consent record.

Who we share information with

Service providers. Third parties that help us operate AutoLife AI, and only for that purpose:

  • Cloud hosting and database providers
  • Authentication providers
  • Payment processors
  • Email/SMS providers
  • Analytics and security providers
  • AI/technology providers, where required to provide a feature you request

Automotive partners. When you specifically request a partner-related service — a garage, workshop, spare-parts or tyre business, insurance or finance partner — we share only the information needed to fulfil that request, and only after you confirm it. Creating an account alone never sends your details to a partner, and we do not sell your information to unrelated businesses.

Legal and regulatory. We may disclose information where required by applicable law, a court order, a governmental authority, or for fraud prevention and the protection of legal rights.

Business transfer. If AutoLife AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of assets, information may be transferred where legally permitted and subject to applicable privacy requirements.

Third-party automotive data providers

Certain features may use third-party market-data, valuation, vehicle-history or inspection providers. Where such a provider is connected, the vehicle information needed for that feature may be processed through them under the applicable licences and agreements. AutoLife AI does not claim ownership of third-party data, and the app labels clearly whether a data layer is live or running on demo data.

Premium Report processing

To produce the paid Premium Vehicle Report we process your vehicle and valuation data and the transaction record of your purchase. Premium report content is generated and released only by our backend after the payment for that specific report is verified.

Your rights

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or complete inaccurate information
  • Ask us to erase your information, where applicable
  • Withdraw consent where consent is the basis of the processing
  • Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer
  • Request information about how your data is processed, where applicable

Use Profile → Privacy & consent to submit an access, correction, deletion, consent-withdrawal or grievance request, or email autolifeaicars@gmail.com. Rights are exercised in line with applicable Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes it was collected for: to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations. When you ask us to delete your data we remove your account content, except records we are required or permitted by law to retain — for example transaction and tax records — which are kept for the period the law requires and then deleted.

Security

We use secure authentication, database row-level access controls so each account can reach only its own vehicles, valuations and reports, private storage for uploaded documents, server-side authorisation for paid reports, encrypted transport, and logging and monitoring of administrative actions. No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, and we ask you to keep your password confidential.

Children

AutoLife AI is intended for users who can enter into a valid contract under Indian law.

Changes to this policy

When we make a material change we increase the version number and, where renewed consent or acknowledgement is needed, we will ask you again in the app. Earlier consent records are kept.

Contact and grievances

Privacy and grievance contact: autolifeaicars@gmail.com. We aim to respond to privacy requests within the timelines required by applicable law.

This policy is being prepared for review by a qualified Indian privacy/legal professional before commercial launch. It describes our practices; it is not legal advice and does not by itself guarantee compliance.
